CRAN release ‘Luminescence’ v1.1.0
by RLum.Network (June 11, 2025)
We are happy to announce the latest release of 'Luminescence', version 1.1.0.
This is a major release that bring a number of stability and graphical
improvements.
The major changes are summarized below. As customary, we have a more in-depth look at this new release in the post for version 1.1.0 on the REPLAY website.
Highlights
remove_SignalBackground()andremove_RLum()are two functions that help in some frequently-encountered tasks involvingRLum-classobjects, such as removing the background signal from luminescence curves and deleting unwanted records fromRLum.Analysisobjects.calc_Huntley2006()is now more stable when fitting theGOKmodel, so that the number of cases in which it reported that it could not fit the simulated model curve should be drastically reduced.fit_DoseResponseCurve()is now much faster, particularly if the number of Monte Carlo runs requested is high, thanks to some code being ported to C++.Many plotting functions now better respect the
cexgraphical parameter, and provide additional flexibility in customizing various plot elements. Perhaps the most noticeable improvements have occurred in theplot_DoseResponsecurve(),analyse_SAR.CWOSL()andanalyse_pIRIRSequence()trio of functions.
This release comes with a few breaking changes, but we expect the impact from them to be rather limited. For these and all the other gory details on what has changed, please see the 1.1.0 release page on GitHub.
Many successful analyses with Luminescence!
